A Working group has been setup to further plans for a Malleefowl Sanctuary at Monarto. We have been meeting regularly since April, including a few field trips to relevant locations. We have visited a potential site for land purchase, seen the conservation enclosure at Monarto Zoo and spotted malleefowl in the wild on private land in the Murray Mallee. The next stage is to develop a framework to address all the key issues. Great appreciation is extended to the Zoo and private landholders who have hosted us. Can you spot a malleefowl in any of these photos?
